Both universities, Soochow and Waterloo through their institutes SUN and WIN have strong and competitive programs of forefront research and education in nano-science and –technology. Suzhou Industrial Park is rapidly emerging as a centre for nanotechnology commercialization and business development.

The WIN-SUN-SIP joint venture, a dynamic, international partnership will stimulate collaborative research in leading edge nanotechnology, innovative undergraduate and graduate programs and exciting opportunities for commercialisation of nanoenabled projects. Through cooperation and partnerships, the joint institute will be a global powerhouse in cutting-edge research and development in nanotechnology.
