Research Interests
Solution processed new generation solar cells based on polymers, quantum dots and hybrid materials.
Research Experience and Accomplishments:
- Postdoctoral research work highlighted in Materials Research Society Bulletin. “Ternary Nanocrystals Used as Building Blocks for Solar Cells”, MRS Bulletin, 2009, 34, 398.
- Total publications cited over 3330 times and an h-index of 12.
- Published the most cited paper on solar cells in the past few years: “Thermally Stable, Efficient Polymer Solar Cells with Nano-scale Control of the Interpenetrating Network Morphology” Adv. Funct. Mater. 2005, 15, 1617, cited over 1500 times.
- Obtained five patents in solar cells and polymer light-emitting diodes.
- Achieved state of the art efficiency (5%) for polymer solar cells in 2005.
- First to apply digital image analysis method on photovoltaic films.
- Awarded Mitsubishi Chemical Distinguished Graduate Fellowship
